We are wanting to open a pet shop in are area.
Are there any type of requirments needed or license needed for opening a pet shop? we are just wanting to sell small animals like reptiles(leopard geckos, anoles, frogs, ect.) Fish, rodents (mice, hamsters, gerbils, rats) and some birds, like parakeets and finches.
and some pet supplies. no pups or kittys. we are in missouri if that helps any…

I’m not talking about buying a dog from the store, just buying things like food, toys, medication, etc. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, how would you rate your store and why?
I never really get a chance to go to pet stores, so I’d like to know who’s good and who isn’t.
I want to know how they got things started. Where did they get the supplies; i.e. tanks, where to find wholesalers for fish and supplies and products. I am going to open a shop my self and I want to know as much as I can before hand.
i wanna open a pet boutique and sell suppliess, doggie clothes, bedding and so on. even for cats and small animals but its a unique boutique. im looking to get like “juicy, hello kitty, Von Dutch” and other animal supplies as well.
