Please don’t buy puppies from pet stores as many come from puppy mills. Please JUST SAY NO TO PUPPY MILLS.
A Puppy Mill is a place where Pure Bred dogs of various breeds are kept in cages 24/7. The females are bred over and over, and have multiple litters before it either dies or is sent off to another Mill to have puppies there. Dogs recive little, if any, attention. They never get the chance to run out and play on the grass, and to be loved like every dog should. Instead, they are starved, deyhdrated and scared in small cages that are usually made of chicken wire. What is so appaling is the fact that pet stores actually buy from Puppy Mills! That adorble Cocker Spainel with the big eyes looking at you through the glass came from one of these things. I know it’s hard to resist buying one, we are human after all, but when you buy from a Pet Store, your money is going towards buying more puppies from Puppy Mills so the Pet Store can have them. Neither place truly cares about the animals. They are just in it for profit. But if nobody buys from Pet Stores, then they will have no reason to buy more Puppies from Puppy Mills. We can do our part by Adopting instead of shopping.
Protest pet stores that Sell Puppy Mill Puppies. Please JUST SAY NO TO PUPPY MILLS.

Obviously you should never buy a dog from a store- but is it still supporting puppy mills if you buy other products from pet stores that have puppies? The other parts of the business are OK, so is it OK only to boycott the bad part of the business?
Where do you get your pet products from?
What about how they treat fish- do you just care about the fuzzy creatures? Fish entusiasts do not like Petco or Petsmart and despise Walmart.
There are many pet stores across the country, aside from the egregious national chain to remain nameless, that sell puppies. Other than protesting the store, what are steps someone can take to help kindly persuade the store owner to change their business model to adoption-friendly? If you have any sources, please cite them.
What about other animals like kittys and birds and even rodents(hamsters, gerbils, rats) and bunnies etc etc? Are there places like puppy mills where these animals are treated cruelly and bred to death and killed when they are of no use to them anymore? Also, what can I do to help stop these puppy mills besides not buying dogs from pet stores? All ideas/suggestions are welcome.
