Hundreds of thousands of puppies are breed at Puppy Mills, and then sold to Pet Stores. These dogs only job is to breed and have puppies, so the owner can make as much of a profit as possible. If the dogs can no longer breed, then they are very often killed with a metal object beaten against their head. No health care, never enough food, and no medical care, these dogs live in a wire crate their whole life with no socialization, and never able to enjoy the grass and walking. This is no way to live. To stop Puppies Mills, don’t buy puppies at Pet Stores.

and if no one buys the puppies they’d be killed.
If they could not sell a pup, even for a break even price, they would rather give it away, than return it to their supplier, because eventually a supplier would not be willing to work with that store if they kept getting unsold pups returned.
Some pet stores are part of a chain, if a pup doesnt sell in one location, they can move it to another.
i know that but your still not saying what will happen to the puppies that arnt bought. the thing that they’d do is probaly put them down.
If people would just STOP buying the pet store puppies, there would be no demand for them and the puppy mills would end up shutting down because they would not be making any money.
Please ADOPT. Don’t shop.
i know u dont want ppl to buy there dogs/puppies from pet stores. but what happens to those puppies if no one buys them??
@SeungMi121 I understand that people dont know but that shows they are irresponsible if they dont research before they buy their dogs. I have also told many people I know about puupy mills because they are planning on buying from a place that has dogs that come from a puupy mill but they dont listen they dont care they pay a fortune and support animal cruelty

i think this video is so disturbing due to the fact that this is our society… please give annimals at the shelter a chance at a better life.. they dont deserve any of this… i have only adopted from humane societys and will continue… please help stop child abuse as well as animal abuse,,, god bless all the survivors of puppy mills…♥

I thought a puppy mill was a type of place where dogs are slaughtered. at least its what i heard. But we can’t stop adopting! these dogs need loving homes where people can love them, cuddle them, and praise them, and they finally get to hear a sweet voice sayin, “I love you”. But other dogs get, “get over here you mangy mutt!” or, “you stupid dog!” i don’t buy from pet stores, except when I got this dog named nikki.
DON’T Shop, Adopt! EVERY SPCA, Humane Society and rescue group are all overflowing with wonderful dogs deserving and waiting for a loving forever home – save one (or more)
i would go to the akc website and find a breeder there… i would also just google the breed and look for a breeder near you, just have common sense,ask to visit the place where u r getting the puppy. also ask to look at the parents and ask a lot of questions (like temperament of parents and health of them) go with your gut feeling, if you feel they are only selling puppies for profit instead of bettering the breed as a whole, look elsewhere.
