I gettin 2 parrotlets for chrismas, both males, hope they will make very nice new friends, unlike my last parakeet, who was very evil and didn’t even let me put my hand in the cage.

Parrots are loud pets. Long lived too.

People always ignore pigeons and doves when making recommendations for first birds.

Having two lovebirds is a steriotype. A person can have a single lovebird so long as they have not bonded with another bird as mates or simply bonded, and if they have alot of time (about 1 – 4 hours depending on the bird) to spend with them every day. Now as for noise level it all depends on the bird really and the best placement i would say for bonding to you as their keeper is with you. And for sleep their cage in a place where they can see you sleep is also good as well for imprinting you.
