I hand fed him as a baby and intended to release as soon as he was weaned but for some reason he is unable to lift off and fly. So he has made a great little pet.
My pet bird. He’s a Sparrow named Petey

I have a video of a sparrow chirping (A Sparrow’s Bracha) that has a lovely poem that mentions sparrows on the right of the video screen. You might enjoy it.

Beautiful!!
i found a liike day old sparrow egg under my birdhouse in the backyard and i put it in a little incubater thingy and stuff. i know for a fact its alive because when i put it over a flashlight the day i got it, it was just a yellow yolk. today there were red veins coming out of it. i hope that it doesnt hatch before school ends, otherwise im not sure on how it will be fed every 30 min :O il figure smthing out. what does petey eat? what do you keep him in? how did you care for him as a baby?thx
Very cute. We have two we rescued off the floor of the horse arena. They both recognized their names when they were very small and can clearly say them. They are amazing.
