I have seen over and over how products by Hartz and Sargents harm the animals they are supposed to help, such as with their flea products. Why are they still on the market then? Why hasn’t anyone banned their harmful products?

Well I wish I would have known that. Yesterday I put the hartz flea drops on my dog. I woke up from hearing him throw up. I was wondering why he thrown up, he only ate his regular dog food

The same reason all kinds of other crap is on the market…money. If the government won’t ban cigarettes or trans fatty food, then why would hartz and sargents stop selling their poison? Its because America is full of naive people that aren’t as intelligent as yourself or I, so as long as they can make money, they don’t care. Its ridiculous.

They are cheap and people think that just because the stores carry them that they are safe. People don’t do research.
They also have great lawyers that tie up all the law suits or they pay off the owners.

Look at all the useless grocery store dog foods that people keep buying

Because those companies have lots of money to hire “good” lawyers who can make lawsuits and customer complaints go away.

    Its a mix of things

People continue to buy and use these crappy products so the companies continue to make them

The products are safe enough, just like drugs/preventatives for people. As long as a certain number of people don’t have side effects it can still be approved. For pets it’s an even lower number. To get a product on the market for pets really all a company has to do is prove it doesn’t kill too many animals.

They have great lawyers that find all the loop holes, the make warnings to claim they aren’t liable. And the pay off people who care enough to persue it.

Many products on the market are unsafe from many manufactures ecerything from food to treats to toys to remidies/preventatives should be researched be for using. It’s a good practice not just for our pets but for us too. Think of how many people use diet pills with huge ranges of side effects, or spray themselves with deet insect reppelant, or smoke, or anything else. Itk4 sad but just because a store sells something doesn’t make it safe.

That is because it’s cheap and people are too gullible to their ads and keep buying the garbage.
