Does anyone know where I can purchase professional dog grooming products?

by Shanna on April 12, 2010

I want my dog to smell like she does after being groomed without having to take her to a salon.
What are some shampoos that dog groomers use?

I used to work washing dogs. The kinds of shampoo’s they use are large tubs that are concentrated and need to be mixed with some water in a seperate container before using, but they smell great. I used to like smelling them. Do a search on yahoo and put in dog groomer shampoo and you will get some good results. I just saw some on grommers.com it was one of the results that came up on the search. Happy hunting. Oh and if you see a solid blue shampoo in a tub that is supposed to be used for white and light coats, it makes white coats extra shiny. The other kind you can use on any dog. Here is the link where I saw some: http://www.groomers.com/search.asp?SKW=div_17,sashampoo&catID=586

Petedge.com and Ryans pet supply both have websites and have good prices. I have bought from them for 11yrs.
As for shampoos groomers use, Petsmart uses Top Paw products. Independednt groomers use whatever they choose.
My advice, go to a local pet store (petsmart/petco or any independnt store and simply unscrew the top and smell, pick what you like. They are all pretty much the same.
