If you can send this around to your friends, it’d be a HUGE help! People have to know the truth about hermit crabs, and not enough people are doing much to help hermit crabs. Do it for the crabs. Pet stores sell their animals for money. They sell all their special hermit crab crap just to get a few bucks off of you. Truth is, these products will kill your hermit crab. Do not trust what pet stores tell you when it comes to animal care. Research thoroughly outside of the pet store before believing anything a pet store tells you to do. They educate their employees wrongly just to get a few extra bucks off of you. This is utterly selfish and must be stopped. Also, these animals are better off in the wild than in our homes. They will not thrive no matter how well you keep them. Please do not buy a hermit crab from a pet store. Instead, you can adopt one. Just search some Internet classifieds, newspapers, etc., and I bet you can find yourself a nice hermit crab for free. Sorry for really making the description more of a rambling rant than a true description, but it’s the truth. Also, I urge you to sign the anti-hermit crab race petition. www.thepetitionsite.com
Have you ever wondered where pet stores in Indiana get those cute puppies? 13 Investigates spent eight months tracking Indiana’s internal puppy pipeline, and it begins in a place few people would expect. Daviess County is a quiet farming community two hours southwest of Indianapolis, and it is also the puppy breeding capital of Indiana. Towns such as Odon and Loogootee are home to dozens of Amish families who operate large-scale breeding kennels.

Kris Kelly helps to educate you on where pet stores get their puppies and why it is wrong to buy animals under these circumstances. Most people that buy from pet stores do it on impulse and it is a life long commitment. Don’t shop, adopt. Commercial pet breeding is a horror that occurs with all animals. Commercial breeders are in it for the profit, not the time or care. They abuse their animals, and most are kept in tiny cages with 3-4 other animals of their kind in them. These breeders sell everywhere- pet stores, auctions, laboratories, and even to fur farms. The only way that you can end commercial breeding is to boycott stores that sell animals and not purchase fur or products tested on animals. Thanks for watching my video and please leave me feedback on it. You can end the suffering- start now.
To respect the privacy of the places I go, I will not be saying the names of these pet stores. My only objective is to show herps in different pet stores.
Dr. Pia Salk explains that not only the animals in puppy mills are suffering but also the ones in the animal shelters. Save a life. Adopt an animal. Do not buy animals from pet stores. Please JUST SAY NO TO PUPPY MILLS.
