There are many reasons why people have a pet friend. Perhaps they only love animals or they are feeling solitaire and need a friend. Maybe many of us didnt know that having a pet can help you having a better life and the most essential advantage is that having a pet can lead to a less stressful, happier and longer life. Does this sound exciting? There are many species of animals from which to choose from to make them your closest buddy. You only need to do a little research. My best-preferred animals are the hamsters, so I will write about them in this article.
Hamsters are cute little rodents, which if you are not careful, will chew all the things they will find. They are crepuscular animal, meaning they are primarily active twilight, which is during dusk and dawn. The diet is consisted of a variety of foods, such as berries, nuts, dried food, fresh vegetables and fruits. Dont be surprised if you will see your hamster eating little insects too. The characteristic of hamsters is that they have an elongated pouch on each side of their heads, which is used to stuff food to be stored so they can eat it later.
Before deciding having a hamster as a pet, you have to think about hamster care and providing all the necessities for your hamster. First of all, they will need a cage all set up with sleep hut, bedding, hamster wheel and toys. Maybe you wonder why does a little animal need such things. You have to know, hamsters are very active animals, they love running and climbing. They need toys and wood structures, because their hobby is chewing everything, and this way you help it keep its teeth in shape. They also like tunnels and tubes too, where they can hide or climb.
The words that can very well present hamsters are little, dear, fragile, furry yet sometimes ferocious. These rodents are generally solitaire, so if they will have a mate, then probably they will fight to the death. Some types, such as Siberian hamsters form close relationship with their mates, so if you separate them, they can become depressed. Another very important aspect is the feeding. Be sure you dont give your hamster too much food, because it can become fat. These adorable animals dont need special care, you only have to keep in mind a few rules, and so you can enjoy the companionship of a loving pet.
